If you are a horse owner and you leave your tack or other property at the barn where you board, you are responsible for theft or damage, not the barn owner.
Homeowner’s policies exclude equipment used in your business. For example: Trainers using tack, jumps or any other property must have it specifically insured. The same applies for liability coverage.
Barns are not considered an appurtenant structure to a dwelling and must be scheduled to have coverage.
